Shawna L. Nist, PhD

Dean of TWU GLOBAL; Associate Professor, Leadership
Serving as an academic leader/educator at TWU is a high calling. "For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago" (Ephesians 2: 10 NLT). Our students are God's masterpiece and He has entrusted them to us for such a time as this. May I be found faithful in my service to students and colleagues as I serve our King.

Trinity Western University is pleased to announce the appointment of Shawna L. Nist, PhD, as Dean of TWU GLOBAL, commencing August 1, 2022.

Dr. Nist brings 28 years of university leaderhip experience serving in administrative and faculty capacities within Christian institutions in Canada and the United States. She holds a PhD in Higher Education with an emphasis on organizational leadership from Azusa Pacific University, an MA in Leadership from Trinity Western University, and a BA in Christian Education from Briercrest College.
